Great British Spring Clean

by Nicola Johns on April 23, 2019

As the Great British Spring Clean draws to a close, we look back on a month of events aimed at cleaning our local environment.

The first of our #litterheroes were the lovely ladies taking part in Kickstart Plus (delivered with Keepmoat Homes).  They completed a litter pick as their teamwork task for their Employability course.  They did a tremendous job of of tidying up the area around Muirhead Court.

Our local schools were also keen to join in and the children of St Sebastian’s Primary School spent an afternoon collecting rubbish around Cromwell Gardens.

Local residents came out in force around both the Fram Street and Gardner Street areas to join our team of volunteers. We were incredibly grateful to Salford Mayor, Paul Dennett, who gave up his time to come and join us in cleaning the area.

In total , our 47 #litterheroes managed to collect over 65 bags of rubbish which is absolutely fantastic. Thank you to everyone who came out to help make our neighborhoods a cleaner place to live.

If you want to find out how you can help keep our neighborhoods clean all year round, contact our development worker, Lynn Holden at office@inspiringcommunitiestogether.co.uk
