Volunteering opportunities

We currently offer two types of volunteering opportunities:

Green Champion

You will work with our neighbourhood development worker to support a programme of environmental projects including looking after our neighbourhood green space, supporting our community clean ups and awareness raising environmental work. If you can spare 1 hour a week you will gain hands on experience in environmental management.

Early Years Volunteer

You will work with our childcare team to provide a quality childcare provision. If you can spare 3 hours a week you will gain hands on experience in childcare and a certificate in peadiatric first aid.

Age Friendly Salford Wellbeing Champions

Age Friendly Salford is a programme of work funded by Salford Clinical Commissioning Group and Salford City Council to engage and support older people to age well.

We deliver the programme in partnership with Age UK Salford and Salford CVS

Wellbeing Champions talk to older people about their wellbeing and helping them to understand and complete My Wellbeing Plan. The role requires good engagement and communication skills. Volunteers will receive training, support, and expenses.
