Do you need help with your benefits? Perhaps you are not sure about a letter you have received and need some advice? Every Friday between 10am and 1pm our development worker Tina is there to help.

Holiday club (4 – 11 year olds)

Looking for affordable childcare over the February half term holidays?
We are running a holiday club for 4 – 11 year olds from Monday 17th - Friday 21st February 2020 (8am - 6pm)

Activities will include Spring-themed arts and crafts, nature walks on the Wetlands, cooking and baking activities and much more. Children should bring wellies, coat and a change of clothes as many of our activities will take place outdoors.

Kickstart: Women’s Introduction to Construction (with Employability)

Are you interested in gaining some valuable skills, recognised qualifications and practical skills training in
construction? Keepmoat Homes, Inspiring Communities Together, Salford City Council and Salix Homes are offering a FREE six week learning programme, a perfect opportunity for women to develop some back to work skills and for those interested in gaining an insight in to the construction Industry.

The course is delivered 2 days a week for 6 weeks (27th February - 2nd April) and includes a variety of learning sessions, workshops and practical skills sessions to give you an insight into your chosen career that will help you build on your
knowledge and create useful contacts.
The course includes:
 Level 1 employability skills
 Site visits
 Employers expectations
 Practical skills session
 Basic IT

Please note that there is an information/signing -up drop-in on Tuesday 25th February, 10am - 12pm at St Sebastian’s Community Centre for those wanting to attend this course.

If you are over 19, currently unemployed and interested in a career in catering we have an exciting opportunity for local residents to access a free eight week course (22nd April - 17th June) running on Wednesdays and Thursdays:
- Employability skills development course (including IT for job searching)
- Practical cooking skills
- Customer service skills
- Teamwork catering for an event task
- Food hygiene and safety level 2 qualification

Learners are invited to attend one of the information/registration sessions at the Orchard Community Hub on either:
Wednesday 1st April - 10am - 12pm
