Creating a Central Salford housing model supporting affordable homes for local people.

Inspiring Communities Together has been awarded funding from Homes England to develop a community led housing model.  The project will work with partners Seedley and Langworthy Trust to create a Central Salford housing model supporting affordable homes for local people.

Mike Duddy, Chair of Inspiring Communities Together said “it is a great achievement to secure the first phase of funding which will provide support from consultants Pulse Regeneration to work with both Boards to develop our governance and business plan”.

Gerry Stone, Executive Director of Seedley and Langworthy Trust explained “working closely with both Inspiring Communities Together and Salford City Council is an amazing opportunity and will build on the current partnership work being delivered by both organisations.”

This is the first community led housing funding from Homes England awarded in Salford, this funding is designed to enable voluntary sector organisations and the council to work together to create an alternative housing offer for local people which complements existing provision in the City.
