CHALK Community Reporters take part in a European wide project

by Antonia Dunn on August 23, 2018

For the past 9 months, a group of 10 Community Reporters from all around Charlestown and Lower Kersal have been taking part in a European wide Community Reporter project. They have been creating stories reflecting on what life is like where they live. The project has had a focus on diversity, so as well as interviewing each other, they have spoken to other members of the community. Ian Bailey-King has really enjoyed this part of the process “It was fascinating speaking to the refugees and asylum seekers in the area – they gave us an insight you would never hear otherwise”.

The group are still creating stories and meeting once a month at the Community Reporter Drop In. If you would like to become a Community Reporter, click here to fill out our enquiry form.
